Happy Mother's Day!!!
Here's the gang at church before going to PF Changs for brunch. Left to right - Katherine, Heather, Abigail, Scott, Jackson, Brooke, Ryan and Mason.
In addition to those pictures, my parents, along with my maternal grandmother, Honey, joined us for what can only be thought of as organized chaos - party of 11 (7 adults, 2 highchairs, 2 slings). Needless to say, we are not particularly stealthy these days. I think we had about 3 waiters fetching things for us constantly...just what they wanted! Jackson threw his food and refused to eat, while Abigail demanded to see Ouiser (my mom) at the other end of the table, the babies cried for bottles which didn't make it into their mouths fast enough, and the adults attempted to shovel down their own food, open Mother's Day gifts and have a conversation with another adult.
We have high hopes though.... We saw what can only be described as the light at the end of the tunnel. At the next table over from us, three beautiful blonde mothers toasted themselves as they drank martinis and ate chocolate cake together...no husbands...no children. They celebrated motherhood by getting the best gifts ever - alcohol, chocolate and no kids. Ahh, someday....
