About a month ago, Abigail's preschool music teacher asks her class if there is anyone who would like to sing in the graduation program. Guess who volunteers? If you chose, Abigail Martin, you would be correct! The only brave 4 yr old to volunteer.... Now, because our child has a nearly eidetic memory for music, her solo was memorized well before she even got the gig. Her song: Jesus Loves Me. Her part: 2nd verse What's great about children is that they have wonder and amazement and excitement for even the smallest things. Now, don't get me wrong, Abigail was thrilled to sing by herself...even in front of a crowd. But the best part of the solo, according to Abigail...was the MICROPHONE. She was gushing about being able to sing on a "real" stage (church alter) with a "real' microphone. Too cute! So here are just a few pictures of her glorious moments. Hopefully I will learn how to link video footage here, so you can actually hear it. Thanks Ouiser for the stills!
She could not have made us more proud! Parents stopped us all day to tell us that her sweet singing brought tears to their eyes. It did the same for ours. She did a fantastic job!
Check back next week for pictures of Sea World and the rest of our trip to San Antonio!

Happy Belated Mother's Day
I'm playing around with the blog layout...testing photo size and font colors. :) I decided to upload pictures of the girls hard at work on their Mother's Day projects. We made gifts for Honey, Ouiser and Grammy K...and while I worked on getting the pieces ready for their handprints, they each made their own mini-masterpiece.
Katherine chose a flower and Abigail chose a bunny. They took their work very seriously...and were seriously cute doing it. Enjoy!

A Star is Born

This spring, Abigail took ballet lessons once a week thru her preschool. She has really loved being a ballerina. But she was over the moon when she learned that she was getting a fancy tutu and would be dancing on a "real" stage...with curtains.
Apparently, the curtains confirmed that it was a "real" stage.
We couldn't have been more proud. And she loved the experience.
And if I was a betting woman, I would bet that we will be seeing many more "real" stages in our future.

Cinder-Relly, Cinder-Relly, Cinder-Relly!

I know its been forever since I posted...but I just had to share these. We met Cinderella at our neighborhood restaurant, Backyard Grill. We went with our best friends...it was an all girl princess fest! Katherine is especially in love with Cinderella, as you can see in the photos. She was overjoyed to meet her in person. Every time she answered Cinderella's questions, she did so with a jumping jack-like motion. She simply could not contain her excitement. It was adorable...if I do say so myself.
