Bluebonnets

After church on Palm Sunday, mom and the Priest and Martin families drove to Brenham to take our annual bluebonnet pictures. I didn't realize two years ago how easy it was. At the time, Abigail could sit up on her own, although not for long. And, of course, she was the only one. Now, with four kids under 3, it's just impossible to get the toddlers to stay in one place and the babies just cried. It was just too sunny and hot. Not to mention, we were in constant worry over disturbing the ants...and there were many.
We did get one good picture of the family, even though Katherine is clearly not happy. But my favorite may be the one at church...notice, each adult in our family is holding a child. What a motley crew we are!

Easter

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Time just seems to fly by these days. We had a great Easter - filled with eggs, Chocolate bunnies and lots of kisses. :) And I had an excuse to buy matching dresses for my precious girls. Abigail had a great time opening all of her eggs and "oooh"ing over the jelly beans inside. Ouiser & Peezah gave her a pink digital camera, so she spent the last hour of our visit taking pictures of the floor and her feet...teaching a 2 year old to hold the camera up to take pictures is a losing battle. FYI.
Jackson napped while Abby did her Easter basket, so when he woke up, he got to discover eggs and hopping bunnies and his new sandbox from Ouiser & Peezah all on his own. Of course, Abby was right there to help him wind the toys...and "help" him play with his new vaccuum that she got him. (Jackson has a bit of OCD - he likes to clean - mop, sweep, use wet wipes to clean tables - you name it).
And then, of course, those giant chocolate bunnies. We stripped down Abby and Jackson, put them in chairs and gave them cups of milk to wash it all down. They didn't eat much of the bunnies, but they sure made messes.
Luckily, Katherine and Mason gave us an easy day. They napped and played and we had such a wonderful time with them. We can't wait for next year when they will also enjoy the jelly beans and chocolate bunnies.
As my friend JoAnne says, we should all eat more chocolate while naked. Happy April!
